Thank you for your interest in our community. You have elected to print an application for one of our apartments located in Louisville, Kentucky.
In order to submit your application properly, please follow the following guidelines:
1. Click here to print the Rental Application.
2. Each applicant must fill out a separate application. Married couples may share a joint application but each person is required to each pay an application fee. Please be sure to sign and date where indicated.
3. There is a $40 non-refundable application fee and a $20 application fee for a co-signer. We will run your credit check and notify you about your status and required deposit amount promptly. Please understand that this application fee does not hold an apartment for you. In order to hold an apartment, a separate check or money order is required. Please call our office to find out your required deposit amount. The deposit will be refunded in the event your application is not approved. If you change your mind within 72 hours after we receive your deposit, the deposit will be refunded. Otherwise, it will be forfeited.
4. Please make checks out to Lafayette Communities. Mail your completed application and check(s)/money-order(s) to our rental office at: River Hill Apartments, 850 River Dell Court, Louisville, KY 40206.

USEFUL INFORMATION REGARDING THE APPLICATION PROCESS
» All individuals 20 years of age or older must complete an application.
» All applicants must be 20 years of age or older to qualify for an apartment without a cosigner.
» Please provide a photo I.D. and proof of income with application.
Income Guidelines
An applicant must provide proof of income. Monthly income must be 3 times the amount of rent (combined income of roommates is acceptable). If the applicant or (combined applicants) do not meet the income requirement, then we require a co-signer. We suggest that all non-qualifying applicants have individual co-signers.
Co-signers are collectively and individually responsible for the entire apartment and any damages/penalties that may be incurred.
Co-signer Guidelines
Monthly income requirements must meet or exceed 5 times the amount of rent (combined income of co-signers is acceptable). The co-signer credit history must be above average.
Rental History
Applicants must have above average rental history. We do not accept an application with history of evictions or lease violations.
Credit History
The applicant’s credit history will determine if a co-signer is needed and the amount of security deposit required.
Background Check
All applications are screened for criminal history. If the background check reveals any type of felony conviction, the application will not be considered for approval.
RENTAL INSURANCE REQUIREMENT
» We require all residents to purchase and maintain Rental Insurance during the entire length of occupancy.
Many people are unaware that insurance policies, available to property owners, cannot cover a residents’ personal property. Rental Insurance is available through most car insurance companies at a minimal cost. There are many types of policies to choose from, including liability coverage. We usually suggest to our residents to check with their automobile carrier for more information.
